The Softer Side of Hard Drives

In this age of tech savvy women and the rise in female fashion bloggers, there is a need for fashionable hard drives.

Samsung 2.5″ Hard Drive by Joongoo Lee. Joongoo’s design was inspired by a ladies make-up compact found at the bottom of most hand bags. Fitting comfortably in the palm of your hand (not that hard drives need to be in the palm of your hand) this design makes me want to explore my feminine side a bit further [more... ]

Pregnant Man (UPDATE) - Video

The (former) pregnant man, Thomas Beatie, has released baby photos and his story. The baby, born June 29th, was a 9 and a half pound girl named Susan Juliette.

Thomas told People, “When Susan finally came out, it was like in slow motion.” That comment itself is probably similar to the feeling expressed by many new mothers… But of course, Thomas was a pregnant MAN.

After 30 odd hours of labor, he noted, “I weigh two pounds less than I did before I got pregnant… And I don’t have a single stretch mark!”

For the full picture spread, pick up People Magazine, who paid Thomas $300,000 for the photos (slightly less than the $20 million that Angelina Jolie earned.)

Radiohead, “House Of Cards” Video

Radiohead’s latest music video was filmed without any cameras, using only lasers.
No cameras or lights were used. Instead two technologies were used to capture 3D images: Geometric Informatics and Velodyne LIDAR. Geometric Informatics scanning systems produce structured light to capture 3D images at close proximity, while a Velodyne Lidar system that uses multiple lasers is used to capture large environments such as landscapes. In this video, 64 lasers rotating and shooting in a 360 degree radius 900 times per minute produced all the exterior scenes. (code.google.com)
Cool Video!

Brad Pitt Cut The Umbilical Cord!

Source: JustJared

The mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, center, holds the birth certificates of one of Angelina Jolie’s twins, Knox Leon Jolie-Pitt, as he and Dr. Michel Sussmann, Angie’s obstetrician, left, pose for the media, at the Lenval Hospital in Nice, southern France on Sunday. Knox was born at 6:27 pm and Vivienne Marcheline came within a minute of that time.

Outside the hospital, Sussmann shared how smoothly the delivery of Knox and Vivienne went:

On Brad and Angie during the labor and delivery: “[They] were talking, they were together. It was an epidural, so [Angelina] was awake and speaking and laughing. They were happy.”

On Brad never leaving Angie’s side: “He was my assistant! [He even cut the babies’ umbilical cords!] He was … perfectly calm, totally determined, very pleased to be at the birth of his children, very moved and very emotional.” More..

The names: Vivienne Marcheline is most likely named after Jolie's mother, actress Marcheline Bertrand, who died of cancer in 2007. Knox Leon's name is more in sync with those of his siblings: Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3, and Shiloh.

Congrats Brangelina!
